INFLATABLE LOSING AIR / NOT FULLY INFLATED

Sagging or soft inflatable? Start with these quick checks:

  • Make sure the blower is running and firmly connected to the inflatable’s intake tube.
  • Check that all zippers, flaps, and Velcro seams are fully closed.
  • Confirm the tube-to-unit connection is tied off tightly with no gaps.
  • On very hot afternoons, vinyl can naturally look softer than usual. This does not necessarily mean there is a leak.

WEATHER CONCERNS — WIND, RAIN & HEAT

Safety always comes first. Follow these guidelines during your rental:

Wind
  • If sustained winds reach 15–20 mph or higher, the inflatable must be deflated and shut down.
  • Never continue using an inflatable in high winds, even if it is properly staked down.

Rain & Lightning
  • Light rain is generally okay for most inflatables, including water slides.
  • If you see lightning or hear thunder, immediately evacuate the inflatable and shut it off.

Heat
  • Dark-colored inflatables can become hot when exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Wet the surface with a hose before use when needed.
  • Make sure children stay hydrated and take regular breaks.

INFLATABLE WON’T STAKE DOWN / ANCHORING ISSUES

Proper anchoring is essential for safe operation.

Grass Setup
  • Our team uses metal stakes driven securely into the ground.
  • Never remove, loosen, or adjust the stakes during the rental.
Concrete or Asphalt Setup
  • Sandbags or water barrels are used instead of ground stakes.
  • Make sure anchors remain in their original position and are not moved.
Indoor Setup
  • Sandbags are used to secure the inflatable.
  • Make sure there is adequate ceiling clearance.
  • Keep the inflatable away from sprinkler heads and light fixtures.

Important: Never operate an inflatable that is not properly anchored.

If an anchor becomes loose or you are unsure whether the unit is secure, call (832) 228-4164.

WATER SLIDE NOT FLOWING PROPERLY

If your water slide or wet combo has weak water flow, check the following:

  • Hose connection: Make sure the garden hose is securely connected to the water attachment point and the water is turned on fully.
  • Water pressure: Low household water pressure can reduce flow. Turn off other water sources, such as sprinklers or washing machines, while the slide is running.
  • Sprinkler placement: Some units use a sprinkler system at the top. Make sure the hose reaches the connection and the sprinkler arm is positioned correctly.
  • Multiple water units: Running multiple water units may require a Y-splitter and two hose bibs to provide enough water pressure.

Call (832) 228-4164 for guidance.

MECHANICAL RIDE NOT WORKING

Mechanical rides require trained attendants and should not be repaired by customers.

If a mechanical ride, such as a mechanical bull or shark, stops working:

  • Do not attempt repairs yourself. These machines have specialized equipment and safety procedures.
  • Check the power: Follow the basic power troubleshooting steps to make sure the outlet or generator is working.
  • If an attendant is present: Alert the attendant immediately.
  • If no attendant is on-site: Call our office at (832) 228-4164 so we can determine the next steps or dispatch assistance.

For safety, do not operate a mechanical ride that appears damaged or is not functioning properly.

GENERATOR RENTAL TIPS

Need power for your rental? Make sure your generator is properly sized and safely positioned.

Choose the Right Size
  • Add up the total wattage required by your equipment using the equipment specifications.
  • Add approximately 20% extra capacity as a safety margin.
  • Example: Two 1.5 HP blowers require approximately 2,030 watts, so a 3,500W+ generator is recommended.

Plan Your Fuel
  • A typical 3,500W generator may use about 1 gallon of gas per hour at half load.
  • Plan for enough fuel to cover the full duration of your event.

Place the Generator Safely
  • Keep the generator at least 15 feet away from the inflatable and seating areas.
  • Never operate a generator indoors or in an enclosed space.
  • Generators produce carbon monoxide, which can be deadly.

Keep Noise in Mind
  • Generators can be loud, especially at residential events.
  • Inverter generators are generally quieter and may be a better choice for residential setups.

NO POWER / BLOWER OR GENERATOR NOT WORKING

If the inflatable is losing air or the blower has stopped, check these things first:

  • Make sure the blower is plugged firmly into the electrical outlet.
  • Check that the outlet or power source is switched on.
  • If you’re using a generator, make sure it is running and has sufficient fuel.
  • Check that the blower connection to the inflatable’s intake tube is secure.
  • If multiple units are connected to the same power source, make sure the generator or electrical circuit has enough capacity.
  • If a breaker or GFCI has tripped, reset it before restarting the equipment.

Important: Never use damaged electrical cords, outlets, or equipment. Keep electrical connections away from standing water.

Common Rental Issues & Solutions

Here are the most common situations our customers encounter during their rental period, along with quick solutions. For any issue not listed below, call our office at (832) 228-4164

Inflatable is Losing Air / Not Fully Inflated
  • Make sure the blower is running and firmly connected to the intake tube
  • Check that zippers, flaps and Velcro seams are fully closed
  • Confirm the tube-to-unit connection is tied off tight with no gaps
  • Very hot afternoons can make vinyl look softer — that’s normal, not a leak
Still sagging? Call (832) 228-4164.
Weather Concerns (Wind, Rain & Heat)
  • Safety is our top priority. Here’s what to know about weather:

    • Wind: If sustained winds exceed 15-20 mph, inflatables must be deflated and shut down. Do not attempt to use inflatables in high winds, even if staked down.
    • Rain: Light rain is generally okay for most inflatables (they’re already used with water slides!). However, lightning is a serious danger — if you see lightning or hear thunder, immediately evacuate the inflatable and shut it off.
    • Heat: Dark-colored inflatables can get hot in direct sun. Wet down the surface with a hose before use. Ensure kids stay hydrated and take breaks.

When in doubt about weather safety, call our office at (832) 228-4164.

Inflatable Won't Stake Down / Anchoring Issues

Proper anchoring is critical for safety:

  • Grass setup: Our team uses metal stakes driven into the ground. Do not remove or adjust stakes during the rental.
  • Concrete/asphalt setup: We use sandbags or water barrels as anchors. Make sure they stay in place and are not moved.
  • Indoor setup: Sandbags are used. Ensure the unit has adequate ceiling clearance and is away from sprinkler heads and light fixtures.

Never operate an inflatable that is not properly anchored. Call (832) 228-4164 if anchors come loose.

Water Slide Not Flowing Properly

For water slides and wet combos:

  • Check hose connection: Ensure your garden hose is securely connected to the water attachment point on the inflatable and the water is turned on fully.
  • Check water pressure: Low home water pressure can reduce flow. Try turning off other water sources (sprinklers, washing machines) during use.
  • Sprinkler placement: Some units use a sprinkler system at the top. Make sure the hose reaches and the sprinkler arm is positioned correctly.
  • Multiple units: If running more than one water unit, you may need a Y-splitter and two hose bibs for adequate pressure.

For water flow issues, call (832) 228-4164 for guidance.

How to Check for a Power Failure

If your inflatable suddenly deflates or the blower shuts off, it’s most likely a tripped circuit breaker or a GFCI outlet issue. Follow these steps before calling our office:

Troubleshooting Power at Your Home

  1. Check the blower first. Make sure the blower motor is still plugged in and the power switch is in the ON position. Sometimes cords get accidentally unplugged during the party.
  2. Check the outlet. Plug in a phone charger or lamp to verify the outlet itself has power. If nothing works, the circuit has likely tripped.
  3. Check GFCI outlets. Look for outlets with “Test” and “Reset” buttons (commonly found in garages, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas). Press the RESET button firmly. GFCI outlets can trip when they detect moisture or an overload.
  4. Check your breaker panel. Locate your home’s electrical panel (usually in the garage, utility room, or side of the house). Look for any breaker switches that are in the middle position or flipped to OFF. Flip the tripped breaker fully to OFF first, then back to ON.
  5. Redistribute the load. If the breaker trips again, you likely have too many items on one circuit. Try plugging the blower into an outlet on a different circuit (different room or area of the house).
  6. Check extension cords. If you’re using an extension cord, make sure it is rated for outdoor use and is at least 12-gauge. Thin or undersized cords can cause the blower to overheat or trip the breaker. We recommend cords no longer than 50 feet.

Troubleshooting Power with a Generator

  1. Check fuel level. Generators will shut off automatically when they run out of gas. Refuel and restart if needed.
  2. Check the generator’s breaker. Most generators have their own built-in circuit breaker. Reset it if tripped.
  3. Verify wattage capacity. Make sure your generator can handle the total wattage of everything plugged into it. Add up the watts from the table above — a 3,000-watt generator can typically handle one 1.5 HP blower plus one concession machine.
  4. Let it warm up. Start the generator and let it run for 1-2 minutes before plugging in the blower motor.
  5. Avoid daisy-chaining. Plug each blower directly into a separate outlet on the generator. Do not use power strips or multi-outlet adapters.

Power & Electrical Requirements

Nearly all of our rentals require electricity, and some require a significant amount of power. Planning ahead for your power needs will help your event run smoothly. Every inflatable listed on our website specifies the number and type of blower motors needed to operate it. Below you’ll find the electrical specifications for each type of equipment.

Important: Most standard household circuits are rated at 15 amps. Each inflatable blower typically needs its own dedicated circuit. Keep in mind that multiple outlets in your home may share the same circuit, so you may need to locate separated outlets on different breakers. Our delivery team will assist you, but ultimately ensuring adequate power is the customer’s responsibility.
